- Soak dalia in water for 30 minutes. Then drain and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. When they splutter add onion, green chilli, ginger and curry leaves. Fry till onion turns translucent. Add all the vegetables, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and saute for a while.
- Now add soaked dalia and mix. Pour 2 cups of water and give it a good stir. Cover and cook on a low medium heat till done. Stir in between.
- Once done, turn off the flame.
- Transfer it to a serving plate and serve the mixed vegetables dalia upma warm.
