  3. Put the butter and sugar into a mixing bowl and the flour and baking powder into another.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar together then add the egg and mix until blended together.
  5. Add the flour mixture a little at a time and stir together until completely blended.
  6. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together for the coating.
  7. Separate a small piece of dough (about the size of a walnut) and roll into a ball, then roll into the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining mixture.
  8. Place balls on an ungreased baking tray approximately 2" apart. Flatten the balls into rough round cookie shape.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
