- Soak mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic pods and dry red chilli for 10-15 min and then grind to paste. Keep the paste (Besara) aside.
- Now wash vendi/okra properly and cut into pieces (almost 1.5 inches). Fry those vendi with turmeric powder and take them out.
- Now cut potatoes into small cubes, wash properly. Then fry the potato pieces with haldi and take them out.
- Now in the same pan add some mustard oil Add jeera, add tomato paste, add onion paste. Give them a cook. Now add salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Fry the spices for 3-4 min. Then add the besara and fry for 3-4 min on medium flame till the raw smell goes off. Then addd fried vendi and potato. Mix them well and then add one glass of water.
- Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked. Finally the recipe is done to be served with hot steamed rice.
