Instructions to make Paneer Stuffed Tawa Mackerel:
- In a bowl mix, 1 cup crumbled paneer, 1 tbsp cumin-coriander-fennel seeds powder, 1 tsp chilli paste, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp tamarind pulp, salt as per taste to make the stuffing.
- In another bowl mix, 1 tbsp cumin-coriander-fennel seeds powder, 2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1tsp tamarind pulp, salt as per taste to make a thick mixture for coating the mackerel from outside.
- Keep the head of mackerel intact. Slit from the side and remove the center bone as shown in the picture.
- Stuff the paneer inside the mackerel and close it.
- Coat both the sides of the mackerel from outside with the coating mixture made.
- Spread 1 cup semolina on a plate. Coat the mackerel with semolina from outside.
- Heat 2-3 tbsp oil on a tawa and spread all over. Place the mackerels and let them cook from both sides. Add oil as per requirement.
- Coat 4 prawns with 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin-coriander-fennel seeds powder and salt as per taste. Shallow fry them as well by using oil.
- Arrange in the serving plate and serve hot. It can also be served with rice or roti.
